Designed as a possible title sequence for a fictitious documentary, this film shows a history of the title sequence in a nutshell. The sequence includes all the names of title designers who had a revolutionary impact on the history and evolution of the title sequence. The names of the title designers all refer to specific characteristics of the revolutionary titles that they designed.
This film refers to elements such as the cut and shifted characters of Saul Bass' Psycho title, the colored circles of Maurice Binder's design for Dr. No and the contemporary designs of Kyle Cooper and Danny Yount.
This title sequence refers to the following designers and their titles:

Nintendo 3DS cut from $249 to $169
Nintendo debuted the Nintendo 3DS in North America on March 27, 2011 to much fanfare but a mere four months later, the price of the 3D-capable handheld is being slashed from US$249 to US$169. If you're one of the 830,000 early adopters who bought a 3DS on launch day and in the past few months, don't feel too bad. Nintendo is consoling owners of the 3DS with a choice of 20 free games that may be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop. The generous move is called the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program and the company's statement reads as follows:Starting Sept. 1, Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will be able to download 10 NES Virtual Console games at no charge and before they are available in the Nintendo eShop to the general public. These games, including Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber and The Legend of Zelda, are slated to become paid downloadable games, but Ambassadors get them early for free. Once the paid versions of the games are posted to the Nintendo eShop later in the year, the updated versions will be available to Ambassadors for download at no cost.The new price of US$169 for the Nintendo 3DS takes effect on August 12, 2011. Nintendo recently reported a 25.5 billion yen (US$328 million) net loss and 37.70 billion yen ($485 million) pre-tax operating loss in its quarterly report for the April to June 2011 period. The company also slashed its annual profit forecast from 175 billion yen (US$2.25 billion) to 35 billion yen (US$450 million). Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told reporters, "we feel the price change and several prominent software releases by the end of the year will definitely change the situation." Nintendo expects to meet its target of selling 16 million 3DS systems by March 31, 2012 which is the end of its fiscal year.
By the end of 2011, Nintendo will provide Ambassadors with 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. These include games like Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future.

the tale of 3 brothers — Harry Potter
The Tale of the Three Brothers is a fairy tale told to wizard children. Supposedly written by Beedle the Bard, it is published as part of a series of works that collectively are called The Tales of Beedle the Bard. While most wizards view this story as one that teaches children morals (e.g. humility, wisdom, etc.), some believe that the story refers to the Deathly Hallows, three highly powerful magical artefacts coveted by generations of wizards, and the three Peverell brothers who first obtained them. 'The Tale of the Three Brothers' also has a different variation, referring to the twilight as midnight to make it more suspenseful for the entertainment of children, but in Dumbledore's original copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard it refers to the journey taking place at twilight.

Rescue workers began a clear-up operation on Sunday in Hangzhou, eastern China, a day after two high-speed trains collided, killing at least 35 people and injuring 191 others, state media reported. On Saturday, the bullet train crashed into another high-speed train that had stalled after being struck by lightning, causing four carriages to fall off a viaduct. It was the first derailment on China's high-speed rail network since the country launched bullet trains in 2007 with a top speed of 155 miles (250 kilometres) per hour.

Catherine PS3 Xbox 360 IGN Review
Catherine (キャサリン) is an erotic horror puzzle-platformer adventure video game developed and published by Atlus for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is Atlus' first internally-developed game for seventh-generation consoles in high definition, described as an 'erotic' and 'adult-oriented' title by the game's character designer, Shigenori Soejima. The cinematic portion of the game is handled by Studio 4°C. The game was released in Japan on February 17, 2011, and is planned for a release in North America on July 26, 2011.

Fleet Commander
Developed at the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) by MS graduate candidate Arthur Nishimoto, "Fleet Commander" explores how a real-time interactive strategy game that would typically rely on complex keyboard commands and mouse interactions be transferred into a multi-user, multi-touch environment.
Originally designed for use with TacTile, a 52-inch multi-touch LCD tabletop display, "Fleet Commander" game play has been ported to
EVL's 20-foot wide multi-touch LCD wall, Cyber-Commons.
"Fleet Commander" uses Processing, an open source programming language.

Ocean Sky
From the video's description:
At a star party in August 2009 I took my first long exposure photograph of the night sky. I was so thrilled with the results that I dedicated most moonless weekends since then to photographing two things I love the most in nature - the night sky and the Ocean.
Taking series of images and combining them into a time lapse video sequence made it even more interesting. I have since experimented with all-night time lapses, panning motion, etc. But most importantly I've enjoyed the journey immensely.
This time lapse video is the result of almost 1.5 years of work, 31 hours of taking images during six nights on Southern Ocean Coast in Australia.

The Robots of Brixton

Brixton has degenerated into a disregarded area inhabited by London's new robot workforce - robots built and designed to carry out all of the tasks which humans are no longer inclined to do. The mechanical population of Brixton has rocketed, resulting in unplanned, cheap and quick additions to the skyline.
The film follows the trials and tribulations of young robots surviving at the sharp end of inner city life, living the predictable existence of a populous hemmed in by poverty, disillusionment and mass unemployment. When the Police invade the one space which the robots can call their own, the fierce and strained relationship between the two sides explodes into an outbreak of violence echoing that of 1981.

Every orphan dreams of their own family and home. However, many Russians who grew up in orphanages have their dreams shattered when they see the housing which they are entitled to from the state. Dank, dark and dilapidated: a flat which orphan graduate Elena Zatelepina received from the government when she turned 18 looks more like a prime candidate for demolition than a family home. Still, the 22-year-old mother of the two has been told by social services that she is stuck here. "Perhaps they have not seen this place inside," she said. "They keep telling us to repair it somehow and live here." "They showed me a paper on 'how to build a house'. I told them that I had no funds," Elena added. "I have no job, I have to take care of kids and I ended up renting a place. They said 'It is not our problem'." Elena grew up in an orphanage in the city of Tver. Under Russian law she was to receive state housing once she left the institution. The flat proposed to Elena used to belong to her mother, and despite having no money, she has been told to fix it up. The situation is absolutely desperate," Elena said. "They do not give me work because I do not have a profession. For them I do not exist. Perhaps hanging myself would be the best thing to do." Elena's case is not unusual. Those who work with orphanages in Russia say that it is when they leave the care homes that they need most help.

From the video's description: "You" is a short film directed by Lucio Arese, based on music composed by the Japanese genius Nobukazu Takemura.
The audiovisual flow is organized in repeated microsections of a few seconds each, everyone with his own life, linked together to form a modular structure.
The realization is characterized by a variety of techniques including 3d rendering, painting, a complex editing process and multilayered compositing.
A particular color treatment has been used on the whole film in order to obtain a burned out b/w photography, contributing to create a dense, dark, organic and somewhat indecipherable world where music and motion picture meet each other in a very intimate way.

8-Bit Invader: UVT mapping
Czech designer Pavel Novák presents 8-Bit Invader, a projection mapping video which features classic video game heroes such as Mario, Lemmings, the Vaus from Arkanoid, Pac-Man, Bomberman, and the marching Space Invaders. At the outset, a simple command line interface starts off the action, followed by an homage to the Game & Watch handhelds called Furniture Catcher, and then a look at the Commodore 64 start-up display. What follows is a whimsical mash-up of classic video game characters who dash and move across the screen. The video was produced for the five-year anniversary of the Department of Visual Arts at Tomas Bata University located in Zlín, Czech Republic.
